The Boys...

Layne, Braden, and Tyler showing off their "guns"

These are some guys in my ward......they are crazy!! They are ALWAYS talking about their "guns", how they need a "gun" rack, or "hey check out these guns" etc. For a long time it just bugged me cause that is ALL they would say! And everyone got the point that they were built, I mean look at them!!! Well one day I was at Target with my sister and I saw these shirts. They say, "The cops just pulled me over for carrying these guns!" with a guy flexing. I knew that I had to get them for the boys! They loved them and had to pose for a photo. Or should I say "flex" for a photo!

24th of July!

We had a fun time on the 24th of July! We decided that we were going to have a breakfast/brunch instead of a BBQ or go to Logan for the water slide :(. We had lots and lots of yummy food as well as fun water games, many of which we used to play at Grandma Ann's. We also went swimming at the neighbors pool and made some plans for our trip in Snowbird in a few weeks. The kids were all very cute and played very well together. Sarah has a lot of cute pictures on her blog of the day as well so check out the Malmstrom's page!

Hair Stylists!

So I was going to post about the 24th of July.....but I forgot my cord to plug the camera into the computer :) so that will come later! The older I get the less I remember without writing it all down!!!

This week I went to get my hair cut etc. and was thinking about how long I have know and been going to Lori. I first started going to her in Jr. High (about 18 years ago!!!) when I tended for her and she would cut my hair. It was the best set up and I loved how she did my hair!! We had tons of fun together and I spent a lot of time at her house. Unfortunately her husband's job transferred them to AZ. I was heart broken and didn't think I would make it. And honestly I didn't! That began a LONG road of trying to find someone as good as Lori who could do my hair and have it look good. I had a lot of rough years for awhile trying to find the perfect person to do my hair! I tried everyone that people recommended and it just wasn't the same. I even tried to do the coloring myself for awhile---SCARY!!!!

While I was on my mission in one of my areas I found a great lady to do my hair---but how long can that last unless I moved there?? It was a constant battle for me. One day while I was at work bored out of my mind, I thought I would just look in the phonebook to see if Lori and her family had moved back to UT. I had lost touch with her through the years as she had moved a lot. To my surprise they were listed!!!!! I was so happy, I called her right then and there!!! We reconnected and I have been happy with my hair since! While I was away at USU I would make sure that each time I visited I had an appointment with her cause no one was going to do my hair but her!

I have also have another stylists that I love! (Though I don't trust her to cut!) When I broke my arm and couldn't do much of anything my dear sister Sarah took care of my hair! She was a doll to style it for me and help me look good! I know that I wasn't always the easiest thing for her to do and it took extra time but I appreciated it a ton! Shortly thereafter I went away to USU with her and she continued to help me there. She was great about helping me look good for dates (the few there were), nights on the town, or whatever I wanted to stand out for. She used to joke about going to beauty school while she was doing my hair and I think she would have been great!

I am thankful for Lori....who still does a great job on my hair! Who I say do what you want and I feel good about the outcome! I still enjoy talking to her and spending time in her home and have even traded babysitting for her grand kids to get a hair cut or two!!

I am also thankful for Sarah for helping me to look my best! And for those weeks when I relied solely on her for my beauty!

I joined the blogging world!!!

I have finally given into the blogging world!

I was at lunch today with some of the girls from work and they were all telling me that I needed to start a blog since I seem to always have stories to tell! I think that my life isn't all that exciting,.....but I do always seem to have interesting things happen to me, so I have given in!

So I will start with the scene that I saw at lunch today! I felt awkward and I was just a bystander! When we were paying for lunch there was a couple waiting to be seated who were obviously on a blind date (which can be scary!) Anyhow, she said "Hi, are you Mike?" And he says, "No, I am so and so!" Bad start when you can't recall the name of the person you were meeting! Anyway she continues to look and feel very out of place. He was trying to get some conversation started and she was not having any part of it! He kept trying to look at her and she was NOT looking at him or making any effort to help things move along! I wanted to jump in and start talking to the guy cause I felt so bad!

All the way back to work I couldn't help but think how the date was going! I hope they both survived!
